WHERE HAMPTON'S LEGACY MEETS ITS FUTURE
68 Oak Athlete Village is a signature Homecoming experience designed to celebrate Hampton University’s rich athletic legacy while investing in the future of its student-athletes through the 68 Oak NIL Collective. Its mission is to ensure Hampton student-athletes have the resources, relationships, and opportunities to thrive both on and off the field while supporting athlete retention, development, and long-term success.
More than a traditional tailgate, 68 Oak Athlete Village is designed to foster a culture of investment, engagement, opportunity, and Pirate pride by bringing together current and former student-athletes, alumni, corporate partners, local businesses, students, families, and the greater Hampton community.
68 Oak Athlete Village will also serve as an experiential learning opportunity for Hampton University students. Because the event is being developed from the ground up, Sport Management students will have the opportunity to participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of a large-scale collegiate sporting event, applying classroom concepts in a real-world environment.
